We recommend starting with the Glen Burney Trail, with the trailhead located less than a mile from the hotel—an easy 18-minute walk through downtown Blowing Rock. The trail is a 2.2-mile round-trip with a 600-foot descent and climb, leading to the 45-foot Glen Burney Falls and 75-foot Glen Marie Falls. Surrounded by rhododendron, mossy boulders, and shaded pools, it’s one of the area’s most photogenic and rewarding hikes.
