The Story Behind the Name: The Embers
Fire has long been a symbol of transformation, purification, and renewal. When The Embers was still just a twinkle in our eyes, we knew the feeling we wanted this boutique hotel to capture that is unique to Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s the feeling that nature and all its elements are finally conspiring in your favor, mind, body and soul.
Most of us think of the embers as what remains of a fire when the flames have gone out, but these glowing coals can burn every bit as hot as the fire that created them. And they can be reignited when tended to and given air.
Our guests come to the mountains to be reignited. To be tended to and given air. With stunning vistas, fresh food, medicinal mountain breezes, and a fire that’s always burning, we give our guests — our beloved embers - everything they need to feed their inner flames.
